On our cover...
Our cover artist is Jim Hougton, of The Graphic Touch. Jim has illustrated several covers for Ithaca Child over the years. His work is also know for illustrating artwork for the Ithaca Farmers' Market and covers of other area publications. In working on this piece, Jim visited Ithaca's Elementary Schools to find distinctive elements for use in showing which building is which. The idea was inspired by the discussion surrounding the possible redistricting of the schools, scheduled to be decided this Spring.
