On our cover...
Conceived by Ithaca Child photographer, Kathy Morris, this cover features a photo of Ithacan, Nathan Hilgartner taken by Kathy during the fall of 2002. Following a portrait session in Ithaca's DeWitt Park, Kathy and Nathan were fooling around with the idea of a leaf mask when this photo was taken. At Ithaca Child, it reminds us of the nose-plate of the mask of a Knight.

At the suggestion of Kathy Morris, the background leaves were gathered, and traced by Ithaca Child's own Evan Graney. Then a mix of real leaves and the traced ones were scanned. The collage was assembled using Photoshop and Quark Express programs.
